Become an Instructor

To become an instructor for the Resurrection Lutheran Church School of Music, you must fill out an application for contract engagement, go through an interview, provide two letters of recommendation regarding your teaching abilities and allow the complete background check to be performed. Applications can be printed off and mailed to RLCSOM at PO Box 151, Alpena, MI 49707 or dropped off at the office between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm Mondays or Thursdays. Background Check Policy: As any other organization that works with children requires, the Resurrection Lutheran Church School of Music asks their teachers to have thorough background checks to protect the safety of their students. Upon application for contract employment with RLCSOM, teachers will complete a nation-wide background check through Intellicorp, a child abuse and neglect background check through the Department of Human Services as well as have their names run through the sex offender’s list. The cost for the Intellicorp check is $25 and will be paid for by RLCSOM. The other two checks are free of charge.
