Policies

Attendance: Weekly attendance is expected for all students. If there is an illness or emergency, 24-hour notice should be given to the instructor. If the instructor’s schedule allows, he/she may choose to reschedule a private lesson if notice has been given in advance. If 24-hour notice has not been given, the instructor will not be expected to make up the lesson. The instructor reserves the right to use his/her own attendance policy. Please check with your child’s instructor for more information.

Behavior: Appropriate behavior for each course setting is expected. Individual instructors reserve the right to disallow students from attending who fail to meet the instructor’s guidelines for appropriate behavior.

Tuition Payment: Tuition is expected at the beginning of each month and is payable to Resurrection Lutheran Church School of Music or RLCSOM. Payment may be mailed to the School at PO Box 151, Alpena, MI 49707 or dropped off during business hours Mondays and Thursdays from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.. Tuition fees vary depending on the course. Failure to pay tuition may result in the removal of the student from the class until a later date. Help with tuition is available through scholarship and financial aid opportunities. Cancellations: Parents reserve the right to terminate enrollment at the end of each month of any semester. The School of Music reserves the right to cancel a student’s enrollment if tuition has not been paid or the behavior policy has not been kept.

Enrollment: Because many courses are individual, enrollment can occur at any time throughout the semester. Please call 354-7522 or email: julie@rlca.us with questions about enrollment. Tuition will be based on the amount of time left in the semester.
